The Half Marathon course is only slightly different this time around. However, there is more parking lot running, and that takes away some of the magic and fun. RunDisney races are pricey compared to other runs, and I find it unfortunate for people that pay far in advance, pay to travel, and then get surprised. I highly suggest stopping for characters as there is a generous 16-minute per mile pace. If you can’t afford the time to wait in line, at least do the hit and run where you make the character a photobomb artist. Often there are some unique friends on course. Disney does a good job of introducing different ones each day. This year is very warm, nearly 70 at the start with 80% humidity. That generally means a struggle for many runners not used to it. Remember to keep moving, but also to listen to your body… don’t focus on time but in fun.
