Running the Hilton Head marathon meant I got to cross off another state on the quest to 50. Due to the weather, I wore running tights and low socks. Here’s a secret… I always wear bandaids on my nips but when I wear low socks, I put bandaids on my achilles as well. Welp, they fell off after about two miles, so both of my achilles had me looking looking like Achilles.
Parking was super easy at the high school. About a half mile walk to the start line, and it was daylight out thank you to the 8am start time. It was 39, but a sunny 39. The first couple of miles took place in the park and were relatively boring when comparing them to what would come. The real fun began after about mile 5 along the expressway.
